This is the first of several activities we've been to lately at the library. I continue to be impressed with their children's activities. The librarian, Ms Terry, is the best ever!
Anyway, for the holiday party, there were several activities. First, the librarian read a couple Christmas stories. Then, we sang some songs. And during "Jingle Bells", Santa came into the room!! After the song, he took his seat and the librarian went through the activities. There were several crafts around the room to do while you waited for your turn with Santa. I was amazed at how polite everyone was. The children continued to sit on the floor and took turns getting on Santa's lap. Some scattered to do the crafts first. But Devan? He inched his way to the front and patiently waited for Santa to call him up. And Lexi? She wasn't even getting close! No way! It was hard enough to keep her near me while I was taking pictures! LOL. She wanted nothing to do with the guy :)
Now he asked for a car, a train, a boat, an airplane, a helicopter AND a basketball hoop. My oh my! He's really getting the hang of it now :)
Lexi is happy to be wandering around the room FAR away from Mr. C.
For one craft, Devan made a wreath
The next craft, he decorated a tree
And then on to the coloring station
His present he got from Santa. And yes, when we got home we had to immediately do at the activities in the books (mazes, which is different?, word scrambles, etc)
