Last day of school class parties

On the last day of school, they have a class party and then most kids go home.  Luckily the parties did not overlap so I got to go to both :)
Cute tables decorated with kid goodie buckets and ready for their feast!
First they had a little award ceremony for their class.  They all got a certificate of graduation from Kindergarten.  Lexi also got the art award (awarded from the art teacher- the only one in her class), and the perfect attendance award.

Then it was time for ice cream sundaes!!!  ….. at 9:30 am.....  :P

Then they played a few games

And gave Mrs Titzman her gifts- gift cards to all her favorite places, and a photo album made up of all the great pictures the parents took throughout the year.  Also in the photo album were little notes from all the students.

Pictures in her cap and gown
Then I raced off to Devan's class where they were just coming in from recess and all super sweaty... Gross....  :P

The parents paid to have Sonic cater their lunches.  Devan had a cheeseburger and fries for lunch.  Much more suitable than ice cream!
And then we walked out the front door of the school, for the last time as a kindergartener and a 3rd grader.....

Devan went to a party, so I took Lexi to Chick-fil-A for a late lunch

Houston Metro Tournament

After rain delays, these boys finally got to finish the metro tournament (over a week later).  It was on a week night just to get the games squeezed in before school ended.  The game started off rough after having so much time off but they pulled it out in the end and got the first place trophy!

End of year misc

One of the last days of school, Devan's class wore PJs to school, brought a stuffed animal, a favorite book, and a flashlight and they read in the dark to their stuffed animals.
Devan brought home a ton of papers...  Here are some of the best:

Lexi's tomato plant is producing a TON of tomatoes!!
I finally found something the right height for Taylor.  Because of her choking we raised her food bowl.  At first she refused to eat.  Then she got really hungry and would pick up the food and spit it on the floor and eat from there.  After a few meals, she figured it out :)

Some highlights from Devan's writing journal:
