SugarLand Holiday Lights, December 2018

After the alligators we went to Constellation Field where the Sugarland Skeeters (baseball team) play for some Christmas lights and carnival rides. 

 Lexi is much braver than Devan and did a lot of rides by herself :)

Brazos Bend State Park, December 2018

We took a beautiful baseball-free weekend and had some family time.  We went to Brazos Bend State Park where they had alligators!!!!  I thought surely they would have a couple and you would be lucky to see them.  But in reality, they were everywhere and you really had to pay attention to where you were walking.  One was even on the path and you had to make a big sweep to get around it.

At the lookout they had volunteers who were scooping out water and letting the kids pick out organisms and telling them about what they were seeing.  Small fish, crayfish, leeches, snails.... even a baby turtle!
