Misc March

The flu and strep ran rapid this winter throughout all the schools.  So Devan's science teacher did this experiment to show how germs spread.  Some people touched bread before washing their hands and some after washing.  Then they had it in the hall where they would observe and record their findings.  So gross!!!  But, I think it helped the kids realize how important it is to wash their hands.

Lexi jumped up in her home readers.  For her, this was a lot of words on one page but she didn't struggle at all.  The words are still easy, it's just getting over the QUANTITY of words on a page.

 Lexi's class grew carrots in the school garden.  It was finally time to pick them (we ate it that night).

Spring Baseball

I didn't get too many pictures Spring season as I was keeping score book for Lexi's team and keeping pitch count for Devan's team.

Celebrating a WIN against one of their big rivals.  They squeaked one out thanks to Devan's pitching :)

This game against our BIGGEST rival!!!  Boy did they want to beat us and knock us from 1st place to 2nd place.  They fought hard to give us our fist loss.  Usually the games go 4 innings but this one was such a long game!  And this inning we dubbed "the devil's inning".  The scoreboard read 666- the score was 6 to 6 in the 6th inning and there's 6 dots on the board (4 balls, 1 strike, 2 outs).

 And we WON!!!!!!

The 3rd inning was tough for Devan as he got tired (but so did their relief pitcher and we were able to capitalize on it).  Half way through the season now and we're undefeated!

 Lexi got the game ball because she hit off the coach all 3 times.  Great job Lexi!
