NASA visit

Houston, we have a problem......

The next day we went to visit the NASA museum in Houston.  It was so cool!!!!

 Walking through the space shuttle

We took a tram to the actual astronaut training facility

And then we got up close and personal with a rocket engine

Then, Nana, Papa and Dustin went to watch a long video.  I took the kids to the kid zone where they had a bunch of interactive exhibits for the kids.

This was the best: trying to land the aircraft after it came back from space.  We crashed a lot.... :P

Sitting in a replica of the Apollo return

Steering a jet propulsion suit to fix something outside the space station
Looking at all the suits throughout the years
Checking out life inside the space station

Visit to Galveston

First, a few random pics....  On Nana and Papa's first day here, Devan had a birthday party to go to.  It was his best friend's birthday, so he couldn't miss it.  Nana and I took Devan while Papa, Dustin and Lexi hung out.
The next day was nice so we walked along The Woodlands waterfront while Devan was at school.  Went in some shops, Papa fed Diet Coke to the fish,, and we watched the turtles sunning themselves.
On the weekend, we all drove down to Galveston to check it out.  We went to the "beach" (GROSS!!!), walked along the jetty, and walked down the famous street where all the cute shops are.

We stopped at the famous taffy store where they make the taffy right in front of you.  And then when they package it they throw out fresh taffy to the crowd.  It was the best taffy I've ever had!  Nothing bets taffy hot off the press :)  We all stood there for 45 minutes watching them make it.  Even the kids thought it was interesting!

We saw some tall ships in the harbor
And ate dinner at this Greek Cajun place.  Dustin had I had delicious Gyros, while my parents each enjoyed some local seafood. Lexi thought it was gross but interesting to watch Papa eat crayfish :P
Everyone wiped out after the long day:
