Carving Pumpkins

After the parade, we started carving pumpkins.  It takes awhile to clean out 5 pumpkins, and the kids lose interest until it's time to carve.  Dustin does a great job cleaning them out.  My job is to take pictures :)

Cleaning them out on the floor was the best idea!  Easy clean-up :)

This year Devan did most of it himself!  He drew his face and cut out most of it.  Such a big kid now!

The final product, all lit up (mine, Devan's, Dustin's, Lexi's, and... Batman!)

KSQ Halloween Parade

We walked in the parade again this year.  Dustin took Lexi and I took Devan.  They loved throwing candy to other kids.

Halloween in Hockessin

The Saturday before Halloween, Hockessin participates in trick-or-treating during the day.  The kids go around to businesses to trick-or-treat.  It's great!

The gang (funny how the big siblings are all on the left, and the younger siblings are on the right)

All pooped out.  Waiting for the daddy's to bring the cars to them :)

And of course when you get home you have to dump everything out and organize :)
We haven't gotten to the bartering phase yet, but they made piles of what they wanted to eat.  They're not big candy kids- they just like the IDEA of candy.  Unless it's a lollipop.  That's all they want.  LOL.

Schoolwork & soup

More school work from Devan:

"I got walking"
 "The sky"
Working with Lexi on writing her name.  She did pretty good on the "E" and "X".  I helped her with the "L" and "I"
 Devan's leaf man he made
His monster (this is the outside- eyes peeking out)
 This is the monster inside
And for lunch, we had cheesy potato soup.  She's so willing to try new things!  At first she loved it, but then later decided that she wasn't really a fan of the potato chunks.  Oh well.

"I go to my home".  "My Dad".  "The sky".  "I run".
"I go to my home."  "I go to school".  "I go to the zoo".  "I go to the store"
