Sibling Love

Devan just LOVES his sister Lexi.  He loves to show her how to do things.  And he gets very concerned if we do something without her.  Last night, Dustin picked up Devan from childcare after he worked out and took him to the pool (because he took a good nap).  After my workout, I went to the pool to watch Devan for a couple minutes.  The first thing out of Devan's mouth when he saw me?  "Where's Lexi?  Mommy, you have to go get Lexi!  Lexi wants to watch me swim."

Lexi really needs to start using the cart.  Her carseat is sooooo heavy with her in it!  But, she's not a big fan of riding in the cart so there's no way I can do both kids without Lexi in the car seat.  So this last weekend we put both of them in the cart at Costco, hoping she'd do better if her big brother was next to her (she watches him like a hawk and never takes her eyes off of him).  She did great!  Also, we were able to get the seat belt really tight.  But then we went to Target and she was NOT liking the cart!  Boo.... we'll keep working on it though!

Rice Cereal

We finally started Lexi on rice cereal a couple days ago.  (The new doc wanted us to wait until she was 6 months before introducing rice cereal, and 8 months for stage 1 baby food.  He's crazy, but we did wait until she was 5 months).  Of course, she hated it at first.  And now I got her to eat a little bit- 1 baby spooful of cereal mixed with formula.  She probably ate ALMOST a tablespoon!  She doesn't really care for it, but who would???

Craft Time!

For May Day, we made flowers!  Simple project: decorate coffee filters, spritz with water, let dry, roll up with a pipe cleaner!  And this was Devan's first time drawing a smiley face :)

And we've been working on this bee and bug for 3 days now (it takes awhile to dry in between steps- because we're using Elmer's glue).  Finally finished this morning!
